Together We Can Provide a Full Life Without Limits for People with PWS

As the parents of Alison, we have been involved with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) organizations since she was diagnosed in 1986 at age nine. It has not been an easy journey as PWS is a challeging genetic disorder causing obsesity, intellectual disability, behavioral issues, and so forth. Alison lives in a PWS care home near San Diego with five other ladies with the syndrome. Prader-Willi California Foundation (PWCF) has been very helpful with house staff training, special events and activities and an annual camp designated for those with PWS. Last year Alison enjoyed a week at Camp Krem Yosemite.
