Xander is AMAZING!! He has the sweetest giggle. He loves school and walking up to campus with greetings from all of his friends, aides, and teachers. He climbs on...well everything. He likes to pick out his own clothes and we let him even when it is blue sweatpants with a green stripe shirt. His favorite things to do are cruising in his Nino's truck, visiting the golf course with daddy, and listening to music while playing with his toy animals. Each day he is learning how to better communicate on his communication device. Each day we are learning how to better support him so he can live a full life without limits.
The Prader-Willi California Foundation supports people with Prader-Willi syndrome and their families, our family.
The foundation has been a tremendous help to our family in dealing with the many challenges that PWS presents.
Your donation helps to provide these ongoing services:
- Support of all newly diagnosed families in California
- Funding of PWS Multidisciplinary Medical Clinics
- Maintaining a 24-hour PWS Medical Crisis line
- Providing the only medically specialized camp in California that exclusively serves persons with PWS
- Producing educational articles, brochures, webinars, and a monthly eNews
- Providing advocacy and support services to families and care providers
- Educating and supporting teachers, physicians, and allied health professionals
- Weekly chats and activities on Zoom for people with PWS
- Support groups for parents and caregivers of people with PWS
- And so much more!
