Come support Haley as she again walks for PWS in 3 cities this year
Its our annual Walk for PWS or as Haley describes it.... "My Walk!" A little update on what Haley has been doing. She has been very busy with her 8 zumba classes per week, torturing the poor family dog Leo and being entertained with her helpers Alyssa and Alex. Horseback riding is still happening every week with Amanda and the variety of horses she gets to ride, feed and makes special cookies for!
This could be a big year for Haley. We are working on moving her into her own home (with of course 24/7 supervision). She is excited and nervous and so are we! As soon as we have staff ready to go, which might not be until the fall, she will gradually start moving over. In the meantime we have so much to be thankful for. PWCF has been there with us throughout our journey and I hope you will consider donating to Haleys fundraising page. Here is a little about what they do:
Prader-Willi California Foundation supports people with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) and their families.
Your donation helps to provide these ongoing services:
- Support of all newly diagnosed families in California
- Funding of PWS Multidisciplinary Medical Clinics
- Maintaining a 24-hour PWS Medical Crisis line
- Providing the only medically specialized camp in California that exclusively serves persons with PWS
- Producing educational articles, brochures, webinars, and a monthly enews
- Providing advocacy and support services to families and care providers
- Educating and supporting teachers, physicians, and allied health professionals
- Weekly chats and activities on Zoom for people with PWS
- Support groups for parents and caregivers of people with PWS
- And so much more!
